THE FASTEST GROWING STARTUPS IN MIAMI

Ranking elaborated by Growjo brings one hundred companies that, on average, had growth of 40% in the last year

Research firm Growjo, which specializes in ranking companies by speed of growth based on a series of indicators, has just released a survey on startups in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

The list of the 100 fastest growing startups in the region is dominated by marketing (9), healthcare (8) and finance (7) companies. But, among the top ten positions, two are dedicated to the cannabis market. One of them, Jushi Holdings, occupies the first position. The other, called Springbig, appears in sixth place. It is the only industry with two companies in the top ten of the fastest growing on the list.

The American cannabis market has been growing at a fast pace since several states started to decriminalize and/or legalize the use of the product for medicinal or recreational purposes. In Florida, the medicinal use of cannabis is allowed.

Among the top three, there is also a digital heath, Papa, and a logistics company, ShipMonk. Papa specializes in on-demand care for the elderly, offering transport, home supplies, technology, and other facilities. ShipMonk operates in e-commerce, with stock management and multichannel service solutions.

On average, the 100 startups listed grew at a pace of 40%, above the 33% registered in the previous year, according to Growjo, which uses algorithms to compose the ranking.
